I Tested Higgsfield AI, Here is My Real Opinion

My Personal Experience Using Higgsfield AI

Enough with the background knowledge. Let's get straight to Higgsfield AI and see how true it remains to its works.

At first, I tried to create an image with Higgsfield AI to see how realistic the output looks.

My prompt was:

"A striking male model with a rugged beard stands casually on a windswept cliff overlooking the ocean at sunset. He wears a customized leather jacket over a crisp white shirt, paired with dark slim-fit trousers and worn-in boots, which embodies a fusion of classic and adventurous style. The dramatic natural backdrop contrasts with his calm and confident posture and captures a moment of serene strength."

The result was:

I am stunned by Higgsfield AI output. If I show this image to someone else, it won't be easy for them to tell whether it is a real photo or AI-generated. 

What amazed me is that the character and surroundings have a natural look. There isn't a plasticky look on the model, and the background lighting is also realistic. Overall, Higgsfield AI truly stands by its words to generate high-quality images.

Now, let's shift to its core AI video generation feature. How it works is that we share a reference image and a relevant prompt, and then it generates a video around it.

My prompt was:

"A focused young professional sits on a park bench outdoors, working intently on his laptop. The camera slowly zooms in from the side. It captures the thoughtful concentration on his face and the gentle sway of the trees behind him. The ambient natural light creates a calm, productive atmosphere as the subtle movements of passersby add life to the serene setting. His attire, blending smart and casual, reflects a balance of professionalism and ease and invites viewers to connect with the blend of work and relaxation."

The reference image I shared was:

Unfortunately, Higgsfield AI failed to generate the video. It displayed "Something went wrong" after I waited over an hour for the video to generate. 

I even tried it with another prompt and image, but again got the same error. It seems that Higgsfield AI is trying to push users to subscribe to access its image-to-video generation feature. 

Since I failed to generate a video, I didn't want to stop there. So, I reviewed the video results posted by other users. For example, Pollo.ai used Higgsfield AI to generate a video of a woman drinking the wine.

If we look at the results, we can see that movements do not look natural. There are several areas where the video appears to be AI-generated, including its glossy look, the expression of touching and drinking wine, and more.

Overall, Higgsfield AI generates a video better than many other tools. However, it still has flaws that compromise overall quality.

Other than video creation, Higgsfield AI is also useful for its talking feature. I can turn my written text or existing audio into a talking avatar video. The voiceover is also synced with facial movements to make it look natural.

Comparing Higgsfield AI with Kling AI

It would be wrong to give a verdict on Higgsfield AI without comparing its outputs with similar top-notch tools. That's why I decided to test the video generation prompt with Kling AI. Luckily, this tool responded to my prompt and generated the following results:

The Kling AI video has fewer flaws and more natural results. The character performs more naturally with better facial expressions, but it still gives a sense of AI-generated content.

Conclusion: My Final Verdict on Higgsfield AI 

Higgsfield AI is lifting the game of AI image and video generation with cinematic-level content creation. Based on my experiment, I would rate Higgsfield AI as follows:

• Image generation: 9/10
• Video generation: 7/10
• Audio voiceover: 8/10

I was hoping the video generation would be more accurate, given that it is built by Snapchat's AI department, but some rework is still needed. Overall, Higgsfield AI manages to beat countless AI image and video generators out there, and makes it worth trying if you are a content creator.
